Legal guidance for young artists…
Because learning to write and collaborate means learning to protect it.
Families here have access to trusted legal insight: My partner Bethany White is a leading workers’ compensation and civil litigation attorney, and her protégé is an attorney focused on music law.
Together, they help explain publishing rights, royalty splits, and copyright protections — so when your child writes and records original music, you’ll understand exactly how their creative work can be safeguarded.
Safety and Peace of Mind
At JAZZFUZZ, we know that parents need to feel secure when leaving their kids in a studio setting. We’ve built safety and professionalism into every part of the experience, so you can relax while your child learns, writes, and creates music they love.
Secure Spaces
All areas of the home not related to music lessons are kept locked and inaccessible during sessions. Only the studio, lounge, kitchen, restroom, and deck are available to students and parents. This ensures lessons take place in a safe, professional, and clearly defined environment.
At JAZZFUZZ, fundamentals matter, but we don’t treat them like drills that exist on their own. We use technique to make music. Along with instrument skills, I teach the whole ecosystem: song structure, basic theory, drum machines, production and recording, and how to publish and release music on the major platforms. Students leave with real progress and practical tools they can use immediately.
I’m Aaron Landsman, owner and primary instructor at JAZZFUZZ School of Music. I teach because I like helping kids get good at music—and more importantly, helping them feel like musicians. That can mean learning favorite songs, building real technique, or getting comfortable playing in front of people. My lessons are structured and goal-focused, but they’re not stiff. I’m direct, high-energy, and I keep students engaged while making sure they’re challenged and supported.
I’ve played guitar for 30 years, piano for 10, and drums for 5. I’ve also worked in Ableton Live for about 20 years, so I can teach beyond “here are the chords” into how modern music is actually made: timing, tone, layering, arrangement, and recording. I started even earlier—at 18 I was already working in radio and doing audio editing in the late ’90s, which trained my ear and shaped how I teach: clarity, rhythm, and performances that feel real.
I’m a student too. At 27, I decided to level up and took weekly private guitar lessons for three years with Brian Riggs, a degree-trained musician. That experience tightened up my approach to practice and discipline, and it’s a big part of how I teach now: clear fundamentals, smart repetition, and measurable progress—always aimed at making music that’s actually fun to play.
